Tax People Blues

from Home Recordings 1989 - 1999 by Jerry Rockwell

/

about

Although I have had my share of problems with Federal taxes and State taxes over the years, this tune has nothing to do with tax blues. Instead, the 4-equidistant D-A-C-D tuning I used on the backing tracks uses a very similar up-beat chop that I first heard on the Beatles' Taxman song. There is one ostinato-type part on electric guitar (basically a repeating melodic theme), with the lead part improvising in quasi-dialog with the repeating part.
