about

This is a retrospective of home recordings done throughout the 1990s. There is a great deal of electric guitar in the lead, some of this with Ebow, and some backed up with acoustic and electric mountain dulcimer tracks. There is at least one solo on acoustic dulcimer, but the dulcimer is not really featured in this collection. Some of the more bizarre tracks feature the amazing Yamaha fs1r - a "formant-shaping" FM synthesizer, which has some unprecedented ability to "sing" and pronounce syllables.

This is a very eclectic collection of experimental improvisations. You might hear some strong folk, folk-rock, and Celtic influences in many of the tunes, but you will also hear some minimalistic and recursive music, as well as a nod to pop here and there.
